Feldon SOE are trying something new with their EQ2 Bonus XP this time around. Past Bonus XP events have taken place over a weekend or during the holidays which has been good for some players, but not so good for others who are visiting family or working over the weekend. So this time around, the Bonus XP event is a Double XP Weekendish.

We’re doing Double XP Days from Dec 27th (Monday) to Dec 30th (Thursday). Most of you will be shocked to hear that we’re doing Double XP not actually on one of the holidays and on weekdays instead of weekends. Don’t fall down in shock.
Of course some players are not happy with the new arrangement. I’m not sure they could do an XP bonus event that would appeal to all players without running it for 2 weeks. I predict (educated guess) we’ll see some type of XP bonus in the days or weekend before Velious launches.
I’m not sure why they don’t just have double xp weeks and do them less often. That way regardless of the days/times someone works, they get the same chance at a bonus. It’s not like XP means much in EQ2 now anyways. I would have loved it if they did this back when I suggested it a few years ago, working unusual days/hours.
One of the suggestions I saw on the Forum is issuing a potion that is good for 72 hours. The potion is only good for that month.
I like the idea but not sure if it would stack correctly with the other XP bonuses.
This is dumb. Not everyone has that week off. I’d say just make it sat/sunday for both weekends, and you have your 4 days of double xp.
Great, now to decide if Iwant to work on my higher level toons to try to grind out some AA’s for the ones that are a bit light on them, or if I want to work on my new main and see how much farther I can advance it. Decisions decisions. . . .
This is great. I missed the last Double XP due to being out of town. This will give me time to level up my Mystic and maybe another.

Sure. But you’re missing the point. Not everybody has Saturdays and Sundays off, and it’s *always* been over the weekend. I like the idea of a potion dropdoff suggested, so anyone could participate regardless of days/hours off.
lol its not even double xp… only 100% xp bonus… lower then a xp trank from rewards.
+100% XP bonus is Double XP.
yes, but everytime they called double, on server status show, server is giving 200% bonus xp, here on valor. So i think this time is not as much as we have the last time.
This really bummed me out. I had to work through the WHOLE bonus xp “week” and even though I am a REALLY casual player, I pay for 2 accounts so that I can play and to not be able to take advantage of the bonus xp sucked. Especially since nothing was offered over Thanksgiving =(
