It’s hard to believe that in 3 months we will be covering our third Fan Faire event and entering our third year of wheedling news and previews of EverQuest 2 expansions and game updates. We plan to offer the most comprehensive, up-to-the-minute coverage of the 2010 Fan Faire event.
It’s challenging to come up with news on a daily basis, especially about a game that works in 3 month cycles. Last month, we officially brought a staff writer, Dethdlr, into the fold, who has so far been posting some great updates.
There are a lot of EQ2 fan sites out there that have pushed themselves to stay relevant, and post something almost every day, but there are many other EQ2 sites that have largely stopped updating. We want to stay in that first group, and to do that we need your help.
Today we present a Survey which asks some questions about how you use EQ2Wire and how you think it can be improved.

If you are looking to expand your content maybe look in game a bit more. You could make news updates about the Hot Zone of the Day. I also don’t recall if I get my marketplace updates through you or through the official site. On slow weeks you could throw out a worth while quest storyline or location to visit. Maybe feature a collection quest with a unique reward.
I receive most my updates through you guys using the RSS Feed. I’m a very satisfied reader. Thank you!
Brent,
A while back, I stopped doing the StationCash/Marketplace updates. I don’t know how much of my audience is interested in that information (I’ll ask in the next survey). I’m thinking of adding a small news block just under the advertising block on the right which would have short news items sort of like what you’d see on Twitter.
For now, a good site to get EQ2Players updates such as Station Cash is EQ2 Game Update. Although then you will get duplicate content of EQ2Wire posts.
Perhaps if possible change the header from the blue background to green for anything not EQ2 related, could color code Hotfix’s, general info, TS stuff as well to make it easy to scan the page, but it is more of a pretty fix then adding some thing that does not already exist.
But I don’t think it gets said enough on here, thanks for the hard relently work on this site Feldon. It has made many a slow day at work go better. (or take longer to get home to see XXX change or whatever)

http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page has the zones of the day stuff (no it is not one page to rule them all, but it would give Feldon more time to find the sweet hiding stuff somewhere else)
I come to this site working day numerous times, for game updates but mainly to get away from daily real life mundane work duties. I would love to read more things about what is out there too see in the game, that some might not have been too. The world of Norrath is huge, but alot of us have not seen it all. Most players don’t raid or have not seen the every zone completely, so make the article for general players. Write-ups on zones or areas that may have been around for years, but something that is a “required to check out” on all levels (not just high level areas). Something on: What’s there, why is it there, history, mobs, bosses and their signifagance, expectations, but not a spoiler. After someone reads it, then they can check it out and still be challenged on the content as you never gave away the difficult parts, but they go knowing a little bit of area. This will help me pass the time at work waiting to go home and sink a couple hours in seeing the geneneral game.
Usually the high level raiders are reading EQ2Flames (assumption), but I come here to read about non-drama things on EQ2.

Like being able to come here and see a roundup of whats going on…if for crafting i go to eq2 traders, so I dont need that here. What I do like to see is stuff I many not have know, lore or highlights of things off the beaten path. I also like the town crier type stuff on the eq2players site. I think color coding is a good idea, but I feel youo do a really good job. Get some volunteer writers like MMORPG does and let then highlight stuff for you. Keep up the good work!
I’d like to see a focus on hidden content gems. Things that people overlook but could go back and mentor down for AA. Instances, quests, ect. Places like, “Scornfeather’s Roost”.
