The EverQuest II Community Round Table Influencers program, variously known over the years as the Summit, Influencers, Community Council, and Area 51, is back in a big way! I have personally confirmed that, rather than being a Marketing focus group, the new program is being personally managed by the EQ2 team!
Game developers and designers are seeking our feedback on upcoming ideas and content and wish to create a more open dialogue with players of all EQ2 play styles including crafting, decorating, PvP, solo questing, grouping and yes raiding.
From the EQ2 Forums:
Hello everyone!
We have a new restricted section of the forums that is called EverQuest II Community Round Table. We are looking for members of our community that want to participate in more intricate, controlled and detailed conversations about current affairs and future projects and ideas that involve EverQuest II.
If you feel like you would be an excellent contributor to this forum, please email me with the title Community Round Table in the subject line, tell me a bit about yourself and what you feel you could add to the influence of our game and its direction. You’ll be under a Non-Disclosure Agreement [ NDA ] and have early knowledge and feedback to things we are discussing for the future.
We are looking to add another 15 to 20 members to this forum that are interested in being an Influencer.
If you are truly interested, please email me at KVALLEE@daybreakgames.com with the title Community Round Table.
Remember, in the email, please tell me why you would be an awesome EverQuest II Community Influencer.
I do wonder if they have the same “no press” restriction that got slapped at me a couple years back, though.
pretty sure thats the NDA they talk about.
I would love to see decorating housing awards besides just a trophy, blend in with the game like maybe a prize, like a red gem or a mythical weapon to be earned. this could be done once a month or week depending on the challenge. and the same with dungeons.
Meh.
Not convinced it will help.
@Cyliena: No, feel free to apply.
Glad to hear, will do 😀
I’m excited for this.
I’m very surprised they are being forthcoming with this. Historically it has been a rather downplayed group in the community.
Historically it has been a feel-good focus group that was far removed from any actual decision making. I say that as someone who was in the program twice.
Wouldn’t even say feel good. If you didn’t share the group focus, you were the black sheep.
It was a coffee klatsch. Not much of substance got resolved as all the decisions had already been made before we heard about it. The notable exception was EQ2 going free to play. Changes were made based on the avalanche of feedback.
If done right it could be a good thing however if it becomes like the raid council seems to have become wherein quite a few players got in due to their guild tag and not the level of their knowledge than you have problems.
