Eight Year Veteran Rewards Revealed — Group Rez, Flying Mount
A tip of the hat to Rixan of Antonia Bayle for bringing this to our attention. After hearing that there might or might not be an eight year vet reward at Fan Faire, it looks like we are getting a doozy of a set.
We’re talking a once-every-24-hours group resurrect (20% health and power), a 150% flying disc mount, a 110% XP potion, and an equippable illusion that adds a green glow around your eyes. You also get a “the Veteran” player title.
UPDATE: According to several sources, players will get a choice of several different 150% flying disc mounts. These are true flying mounts.

from what I was seeing yesterday there is going to be a choice of 4 different elemental disks, not just the flame one you have posted here.

Don’t you find it noteworthy that the potion adds 110% to all kinds of experience? If i’m remembering correctly normal potions just add adventurer exp.
So with 100% aa transversion you’ll end up with more than triple aa.

lol, at a spike in the coffin for dirges. 🙂 I don’t think you will have to worry to much as it can only be used once a day. 🙂 Overall they look ok. Will be interesting to see when they come out. I am guessing they just ran out of time to do anything else but stick with the old system for vet rewards, which does not bother me at all. 🙂 I won’t complain to have another mount for my collection. lol. My baby beastlord will enjoy having a flying mount, lol

Aren’t the gryphons 200% flying speed? So the 8-year vet reward will actually be worse than the already existing, easily-quested version?
So, basically, for being a customer for 8 years you get an appearance mount, a near-useless rez (seriously, how many classes already have a rez that is better than 20%?), XP pots that are equivalent to what is already available, and an illusion that can only be used in lieu of an appearance helm. WOW!! It’s like I hit the lottery!

150%. You’re thinking of Leapers which can briefly fly at 200% speed.
I don’t know how many classes get a group-rez-from-death. Not every priest gets that as an AA choice.

Oh is it actually a group rez from death? I didn’t see that in the description, I know on my templar/inq it’s clearly stated on the spell description that it’s from death. I’m curious.

I don’t think it is on death and it takes 10 seconds to cast. This looks like a daily greater redemption of failure relic – probably useful to bring up the dead on wipes unless it can be used without being equipped.

It doesn’t appear to be from-death. It feels like a: “I’m the only one that survived and I’m a SK that FD’d knowing I was the only one left… its cool, I can use this thing to rez everyone because my healer guy didn’t cast his spirit/feather thing to the group” — Or some other complicated scenario that would take a lot longer to explain 🙂 That happens to me here and there, to save a run back to where you were – sounds like a fun trinket to me.
And my question about the disc, would be do you need to be flight unlocked (do the quest for a griffin) to use it. Be nice for insta-flight for alts.

don’t think you need flight unlocked, the only stipulation on it is to be level 85.

Wurm, the screenshot and the item link says otherwise. It simply says “targeted group”. However, SmokeJumper is probably wording it wrong in his announcement or it may have been changed internally already.
