Update Notes: July 29, 2014 & Extended Maintenance

Attention players: we will perform maintenance beginning at 3:00 AM PDT* on Tuesday, July 29, 2014. We expect this maintenance to take approximately two hours. This will impact the following SOE services:

• Commerce functions, including purchases
• Game, web and forum logins

Thank you for your patience as we complete this maintenance.

and:

ALL EverQuest 2 Servers will come down on July 29th, 2014 at 7:00 AM Pacific Time* for an update. The expected downtime is approximately two hours.

Time Zone Conversions

  • PDT: July 29 @ 3:00-5:00am & 7:00-9:00am
  • EDT: July 29 @ 6:00-8:00am & 10:00-Noon
  • BST: July 29 @ 11:00-13:00 & 15:00-17:00
  • CET: July 29 @ 12:00-14:00 & 16:00-18:00
  • AEST: July 29 @ 8:00-10:00pm & July 30 @ 12:00am-2:00am

WEEKLY FEATURE

  • Delectable house items from The Vigilant have been added to the Loyalty Merchant.

POPULATION / ZONE PROGRESSION
General

  • Defeating encounters that grant status will now grant status to unguilded players.

Temple of Veeshan: Dreadscale’s Maw

  • Bristlebane should no longer attempt to use two different pranks at the same time. Silly Bristlebane…

Temple of Veeshan: Laboratory of Mutation

  • Killing bosses within Temple of Veeshan: Laboratory of Mutation will now update the “Slay Boss Creatures” daily objective.

High Keep: The Bloodless Incursion

  • Missions within High Keep: The Bloodless Incursion now grant increased Etyma, two Ethereal Crates and a random Temple of Veeshan Mission Crate reward.

ITEMS

  • [eq2u]Pride’s Edge[/eq2u] can now be equipped by Wardens and Channelers.

    Strange lack of coordination there. Either they should have scheduled one four hour window, or if there was a strong possibility of time overrun on the first change then one six hour window.

    Great, I never got the Error NBE-1013 until now. I am assuming this maintenance was to fix the problem not make it worse.

    I am also getting the NBE-1013 error now. This is an awesome way to “make good” on log in problems.

    is their any site that says when this might REALLY be done, or are they just going to keep that a secret. i just logged off for a second to do a transfer and i couldnt get back on

    Missions within High Keep: The Bloodless Incursion now grant increased Etyma, two Ethereal Crates and a random Temple of Veeshan Mission Crate reward.

    This is great for casual raiders like me! Too bad I’m so casual that I’m not geared to run that zone. Beware as the zone will now be filled to the max with people. Can contested dungeons split into multiple instances like overland zones?

    There have already been up to 3 High Keep Contested zones open at once on AB. This is a good update. Before this it was rare to get a decent enough group to stick together long enough in the zone to complete the daily and weekly since you pretty much have to do the zone from top to bottom to complete them both.

    As for gear complaints listed above: The zone isn’t as reliant on gear as it is player ability. Primarily the tanks ability to only pull 1-2 groups and position them in a way that additional groups cannot be pulled. Or the DPS ability to control their attacks and no aggro more mobs.

    A player with 4/4 cryptic or better could do this zone easily enough.
