SOE Websites, Forums, Games, Launchers Inaccessible — DNS Issue
We’re not sure what’s going on, but the DNS servers that drive everything under station.sony.com seem to have forgotten that they’re supposed to be doing something.
A post has just appeared on Twitter/Facebook which suggests maintenance tomorrow:

forums.station.sony.comImportant: We will perform maintenance beginning at 7:00 AM Pacific* on February 8, 2012. This will impact the following services:
UPDATE:
[SOE-MOD 02] Todays issue is something different then the planned downtime for tomorrow. It is being investigated as I type this. Thank you!”
UPDATE:
Some players are continuing to report DNS errors when trying to connect to the EQ2 launcher, game, websites, forums, etc.
Update at Midnight PST from Brasse:
Hullo all! We apologize for the intermittent issues that some players have experienced in accessing our services today – we’ve had a lot of techs on the case and it looks like things should be back to normal. Please continue to report any new issues, and thank you all for your assistance and patience.

For now, you can substitute 199.108.0.130 for any URL that had forums.station.sony.com. For instance:
http://199.108.0.130/eq2/forums/list.m

Haven’t been able to get on all day. Get it together SOE. I remember seeing a big quote during whole age of discovery launch fiasco. He said they would take their time to make sure unexpected problems would be brought to a minimum… Guess that was asking too much. Might just have to unistall game for good. Maybe SWTOR has some competent progamers/devs… Slackers
