  1. Was the complete removal unintentional or just the EoW changes?

Just wondering how something that was a bug or unintentional makes it into clear text of update notes. That’s like reading, “Your character will no longer have pants”, and that being a bug.

  2. I sure hope they are reverting Critical Chance on ALL items to the pre 9/08 patch amounts… the progression actually was finally starting to make sense going from level 50-90 and seeing a relatively smooth advance in power.

  3. i agree with chreo. i don’t like ragging on a development staff…but it really seems like there’s no plan or direction from the top, and very very poor quality control at development.

  4. All I can say is they keep chaning stuff, and not testing it themselves. They expect us to test the stuff for them. This is not quality control, in fact I been places where this would get old and you would find yourslef replaced.

They need to test stuff themselves tell folks what to look for and let them test it.

This entire xpac has been one huge fix after another, and right now its kind of hard not to blame the dev staff for being inept.

  5. Us changing how you play you character every week is not a bug : IT’S A FEATURE…
I’m still lost. Will the items below 80 will have a lot of crit back or the crit that was removed from item above 80 that will be reverted ?

Even the comment of Silius and Kander are buggy

  6. @melpheos: I’m not sure either.. The comments taken in the context above could go either way. I can’t see the official forums to look at the original posts. But one of two things should happen. They will fix the crit reductions on post 80 gear and what bothers me about the progression of these stats they are adjusting is that they fail to remeber that crit was indeed a factor on gear especially in TSO. So while it really doesn’t matter much regarding crit chance on old zones, they have completely altered the feel of the content in past expansion and not in any good way. The devs handling these changes have no clue about the game’s content or progression. I’m sure if they were in game and buying gear from you in PCLabs they would have no clue how to get there. It’s pretty sad and that was only last expac.

I’m still troubled on all the issues with Charms that were altered to Treasured or Legendary when they were previously fabled. They haven’t addressed that issues AFAIK.

  7. @melpheos I was thinking the same thing! Its still morning in SoE land, so I would hope we would hear a more “solid” response than the half-arsed responses that really don’t tell us exactly what is going to be fixed and what is going to stay the same.

My new rule: Never mute anything. SoE needs to make a new set of bags for us for our bank so we can store years worth of equipment that might be changed to be useful again! LOL – I also feel really bad for Fan Sites. All of the item data on those sites are in shambles and not sure when would be a good idea to make things factual again… because they will probably just change again because it wasn’t thought out well enough.

  8. Per Silius’ follow-up post, the changes actually WERE Intentional (I guess?) but are being revised to make a progression from 60-80.

It’s a little sad when one guy cannot get his own story straight.

  9. Seems newest post from Silus on this topic is:

    “Hey all,

Sorry for the late update but the outage hit us yesterday and I was unable to make this post. We are changing the crit removal to be a progression starting at 60 across the various crit bearing slots. You should see this next week. Once again sorry for the late update.”

I agree it looks SOE doesn’t know where they are heading. Path notes tates all pst 80 crit removed, few pages long thread day before patch and all they “ooops we haven’t noticed.

    I’ve notived and I’m just a player.

  10. It does give one the picture of a workplace that is completely disorganized, doesn’t it?

I am sensing a real lack of strong leadership on the team — which could account for all these mistakes and corrections. I am sure the power outage didn’t help things.

  11. Good thing I am not posting on the official forums!

“We absolutely want everyones feedback but let’s tread carefully on this one. Direct poking at SOE or it’s employees will require moderation. Thanks in advance for your help.” — RadarX
