From Kander on the EQ2 Beta Forums:

We are no longer requiring the ToT Signature quests to start the Kunark Ascending questlines for beta or when it goes live. These changes should be in ASAP. We’ll make sure it gets in the patch notes.

and Kander on the Discord chat:

The Ethereal Merchant is staying up indefinitely. After some very heated discussion, we have decided to make the Ethereal Runes heirloom when the expansion launches. After some even more heated discussion, we have decided to make the ethereal coins heirloom when the expansion launches.

As I have allready 67 ethereal coins and need 23 more to get a ethereal rune my question is:
can I get 23 more ethereal coins in some way?

Gee, this would have been great news if I’d known it when I could have gotten more coins somehow.

…I’m going to stop there before my language gets out of hand.

I agree…..so I didn’t forget before the ethereal merchant disappeared, I spent them on the adorns so as not to waste them. Sooooooo disappointed! (and also stopping before language deteriorates)

Couldn’t agree more. It really ticks me off when they change the rules on something after the event. I’d totally have ground more coins for alt / not spent what i had left on shitty temp adorns.

If you are going to do it, what would it hurt to simply do it now?

Once you replace your ethereal jewelry, just crunch them for extra coins and hopefully you will have enough for a rune.

Bought temp adorns as well… what a waste 🙁 Thank DBG! At least you could make the merchant buy them back! Wait that make too much sense…such an easy fix!

No mention of needed to have completed tradeskill mastercrafter questline so you have the Earring of the Solstice which appears to be required so you can see red shinies…
