DING! Heroic Characters Now Start at Level 95

Beginning their journey in the Tranquil Sea, new Heroic Characters will venture into the battles of Norrath starting as Level 95 Adventurers!

Want to experience these new Heroic Characters for yourself? Log in to EverQuest II by 12:00PM (Noon) PT on Tuesday, September 6, 2016, and you will get your first Level 95 Heroic Character FOR FREE!

The free Heroic upgrade icon on the Character Select screen. If the graphic is not there, just click in the empty space to the right of your character name.

A few things to note:

If you have previously purchased a Heroic Character, it will not automatically become Level 95. Only new Heroic Characters begin at this level.

You must have had an EQ2 account in good standing on/prior to 12:00PM PT on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 in order to get the free Heroic Character. If you create a brand new account, it will not be eligible for the promotion, unless the account has membership.

Commentary

If you have not already got accounts sitting around with unleveled characters, the smart money here is to create a new account, roll a new character, add a Krono to the account, and bam you can upgrade that character to level 95 for free. A $60 value for $19.

On the flipside, if you already paid $35 for a level 90 Heroic character, today’s update will not automatically ding that character to level 95. If you recently purchased a Heroic character, I might be inclined to contact Customer Service and see if there’s any wiggle room here. $35 is $35.

Do you have to use the free character option by the 6th September or does it remain until it is used?

Pity it doesn’t upgrade a 90 the way 90 upgraded 85…

  I used an old level 90 upgrade token on one of my characters and it upgraded them to 95 but provided no gear, potions, or mount. This has me scared of upgrading any other characters with the free upgrade and being stuck with really low level gear compared to what they should have.
