From EverQuest2.com:
New adventures await you, Norrathains! GU101 is scheduled to release on Tuesday, August 23, 2016, and there’s something in this update for players of all levels.
New Fabled Content to Explore From The Fallen Dynasty!
These new Fabled dungeons can be accessed through a portal just off the docks in The Village of Shin. This content is intended for level 100 characters, and a membership is required to enter these zones.
The Fabled Fallen Dynasty is made up of The Fabled Nizara, City of the Nayad which will have both Heroic and Advanced Solo versions! Also available will be The Fabled Cavern of the Crustaceans Raid for groups of 12 players and The Fabled Xux’laio’s Roost Raid and The Fabled Antechamber of Fate Raid for groups of 24 players.
Public Quests
You’ll find new limited time Public Quests throughout Norrath. Just check your map for these unique battle regions!
Damage inflicted against public quest encounters scales to allow public quest fights to be relevant for players of all gear levels.
New Agnostic Zones that Scale to Level 100!
Agnostic versions of The Crypt of Agony, Crypt of Valdoon, Befallen: Cavern of the Afflicted, Guk: Halls of the Fallen and Kael Drakkel: Iceshard Keep have been added to the dungeon finder and Agnostic Portal, and these dungeons scale from level 10 to level 100.
Heroic Characters Level Up!
Newly created Heroic Characters now begin their adventuring career in the Tranquil Seas, as level 95 adventurers!
Altar of Malice Becomes FREE to All Players
As we get ready for the expansion coming later this year, we’re making the content from Altar of Malice FREE for all of our players once GU101 releases.
While there’s something in GU101 for everyone, don’t forget that All Access membership has it perks! Not a member yet? Visit www.everquest2.com/membershipto learn more!
Making AoM free for a couple of months leading up to the new expansion is a great idea.
Also, very excited for the return of public quests. About time.
Me too, i popped in and out of EQ2 over the years and i loved this event.
AoM for free! That’s awesome, I thought they had stopped doing that when they left Sony.
Public Quests… YES!!!
I think people forgot the horrendous lag from the Great Divide Public Quests…
For those who played it, doubt it. In any case, the Heroes’ Festival patchwork boss PQs work fine.
The Great Divide PQs were written with hundreds of lines of LUA script. As a result, they did have some server lag. The new PQs are built with code and should be MUCH cleaner and less laggy. Of course whenever you have 100 characters in one place things will slow down, but at least it won’t be battle logic that’s bogging down.
Is there any fabled overland? like Fabled The Mystic Lake ?
Awesome that I just payed80 bucks on AoM for two accounts….
DBG, your decision-making sucks!
;-(
Altar of Malice has not been available for purchase since last November. Pretty sure you purchased Terrors of Thalumbra which still costs $35.
That’s a polite way of saying, “You’re full of shit, Maver” 🙂
They shoulda lowered the price at least somewhat prior to making it free. This is just a slap in the face.
New agnostic dungeons to scale from lvl 10? Does it means that all other agnostic dungeons will also scale to lvl 10 and not to lvl 20? thx
Very cool! I just need to finish some IRL stuff so I actually have time to play for a few days! XD
Oh man Feldon, I just saw this, of course I meant ToT and I totally mixed them up… xD
I take back everything 😉
And it was 39,99 (in euros)… 😉
Will there be any new lore/questline in GU101?
I’m excited about the public quests. 🙂
I’d like to know more about this up and coming expansion!
