From EverQuest2.com:

Are you ready for another adventure this summer? Have you been waiting to pick up the most recent expansion, Terrors of Thalumbra? Now is a great time to get it! Why? For the first time, Terrors of Thalumbra is available to purchase with credit card or with Daybreak Cash!

EverQuest II: Terrors of Thalumbra is now available for $34.99 or 3499 DBC (Standard Edition), $89.99 or 8999 DBC (Collector’s Edition), and $139.99 or 13999 DBC (Premium Edition).

From In Game:
Go to the Marketplace and select “Releases.” Click on one of the options available, and a web browser will open up. When you pick which version of the expansion you want, you will have three purchase options: Daybreak Cash, Credit Card, or PayPal.

From The Web:
If you’re on https://www.everquest2.com/shop, click the “Expansions” tab. On the right side of the page, above the three editions, change the CURRENCY option to DAYBREAK CASH by selecting it from the drop-down menu. Then, click the “Buy Now!” or the “Buy or Upgrade Now!” button on the version you would like to purchase, and you’ll be able to buy with DBC.

I’m glad to see this. I bought it earlier this year, but I would definitely rather have used DBC. Next expansion I will most likely wait until it’s offered via DBC. Assuming I’m playing still (which I’m not right now). Haven’t played since April at the moment but will probably pop in this weekend for Tinker Fest.

Do they still do double and/or triple Daybreak Cash days?

Other than some VERY rare deals, no.

On the bright side, if you keep up a All Access pass you’ll get 3500 Daybreak Cash in 7 months.

I’m glad that they brought this back. As a super casual player who plays both EQ and EQ2 I don’t necessarily get to contempary content when it’s still relevant.

Buying expansions and content updates were generally just not something I was interested in, but paying my 15 a month and hoarding the free 500 station cash a month is doable.

If they continue this going forward I think I’m more likely to keep my membership year round.
