From Laylaih on the EQ2 Forums:

New Mercenary Crates are now available in the Marketplace starting today, April 28th, 2016!

The new Stormcaller series features mercenaries who are fashioned after the ever-popular Perrin Wanderhoof, and they use Fury class abilities! There are 10 new appearances for this popular mercenary, including some very unique and sought-after versions like this fierce warrior:

Also, with the new Mercenary Crate, we’re introducing a new Ultra Rare Unique mercenary: Calyptor Atha, Sentinel of Dawn, the Aviak Guardian! This mercenary uses guardian abilities and has had his aggro-holding abilities souped up under the hood! This will be an epic mercenary, able to venture out and help you smite the enemies of your choosing. Stand firm, friend, and stay by Atha’s side to get you through the challenges ahead!

These new Mercenary Crates are available in the Marketplace in the usual 1, 3, and 7 packs at the usual prices. Be sure to grab them now, as these mercenaries will only be available for a limited time!

I despise lotteries. Good luck to those who choose to gamble.

I just want to know, that since it is modeled after Perrin Wanderhoof, does that make it an elite merc to start?

It is better than Perrin. Endgame it has a lot more hps and survive ability.

this game is going into the dumpster. expansions are terrible, patches are unbalanced beyond belief and full of bugs and everything is for sale as long as you have cash. Then they want you to buy a monthly subscription, PLUS you need station cash PLUS you now need a well running guild to help you gear up just to do the solo content (GU 100). Time to find another MMO.

I disagree with almost everything you say. Yes, they want to entice you and reward you for subscribing. The Devs like to eat …..imagine that. No, you do not need a guild ….at all. Maj’dul is a very busy server and there are constantly groups forming at all hours for anyone to join. I started a Dirge there 2 weeks ago to see how he most populous server was doing , and have geared up very easily without a guild . And I found ToT and the Scourged Wastes to be pretty damn fun and engaging. 🙂

I agree with you 100 percent Carly. Lets face it, apparently many other people agree with you as well. We are down to 4 NA servers, 1 Euro server and 1 TLE server. I think that speaks volumes.

I just started againon TLE and living it.
Number of server is kind of irrelevant, because number of player is the same.
Is it really better to have 20 server then 6, if most are empty?
I prefer 6 full server anytime.
If there are enough player so that the game will last, is another story.
