why couldn’t the mitigation buff go on fighters defense stance instead of another class’s buff? /sigh

Because the mitigation issue was largely about scouts having higher mitigation than plate tanks in groups and raids. Based on what the problem was (buffs granting too much mitigation to non-fighters), I think reducing it for them and increasing it for fighters while grouped was the right move.

I guess this could impact soloers, but then again, I play on Stormhold so my caring about solo play is … well, pretty much non-existent.

I’m well aware of why the mit changes were done, but there was no need to force one to group with a priest to get reasonable mitigation buffs. It’s poor design, imo. What if your questing with your significant other and they are not a priest? You miss out on these mit buffs.

For solo and duo content, I honestly don’t think it’s that significant. This was a change that was really targeted where it was needed, with TLE server grouping and raiding.
