As an apology for the DNS issues which have prevented some players from connecting to SOE websites, forums, and games, SOE is granting All Access customers 2 free days of service. From the EQ2 Forums:

Hi everyone,

We deeply regret the recent service interruption that is currently impacting all SOE games.

As a thank you for your patience, we have added two days of membership time to all members’ accounts.

Thank you for playing EverQuest II.

While it is nice to see the acknowledgement, and two days membership time is nice for those of us who get it. But how does this effect the award date for the 500 Station Cash. It would be unfortunate if while the left hand was giving the right was scratching a little back.

I don’t think this would affect the award date at all. I already claimed my July reward. You don’t have to claim it on the first day it’s available. If anything, the extra two days benefit you. What if those two days put you just far enough into the next month to claim August’s award?

        I hope you are right.

But isn’t the award date based on your subscription date? If the two days move your subscription date will that move your award date?

I suspect that no one at SOE has checked this, thus leaving the outcome to chance.

Two days of membership is what, $1.00? Continuously subbed people wouldn’t even notice it. Give me 100 Etyma instead and we’ll call it even.
