From EQ2 Build Master Bunji on the EQ2 Forums:

POPULATION / ZONE PROGRESSION
High Keep: The Bloodless Incursion [Contested]

  • Ruptured Vein will do significantly less damage.
  • Lowered the assist radius of non-boss encounters.
  • Undead Army will drop off raid members properly.
  • Increments of Undead Army will lower when NPCs are charmed.
  • Experience gained will be increased.
  • Removed the restriction of all revive points in the zone.
  • Tremorax the Unearthed will wait a few extra seconds before surfacing from its sinkholes.
  • A guild achievement for defeating Exarch Lorokai the Unliving has been added.

High Keep: The Bloodless Incursion [Warzone]
This zone mirrors Highkeep: The Bloodless Incursion [Contested] with the following exceptions:

  • Faction alliances are no protection within this Warzone. Players of any city alignment can attack any player outside of their group or raid.
  • Boss encounters have a chance to drop PvP currency writs which can be used to purchase PvP equipment.

Game is crashing after the update when trying to add character to zone. Anyone else experiencing this?

Some needed fixes for that zone that really never made sense why they were omitted from launch…..

Side note: Since the hotfix looks like players with Custom UI’s crash when trying to load a character in….sometimes you just can’t make this junk up.

SOE changed the Welcome screen, I think to add a “claim 500SC” button. It breaks any mod that replaces the welcome screen including ProfitUI, Drums, Fetish, etc. See the other EQ2Wire article on the subject.

What is really frustrating about HK contested is that all of the issues they fixed/adjusted in this update were known issues brought to the devs by the people who beta tested it. Why do we bother beta testing?

If they waited until the beta bus were gone before deploying the schedule would slip indefinitely. The bus found in beta get prioritized (likely based on game breaking before zone balance and considering number of people impacted).

If the bus being fixed now weren’t found in beta they’d be getting fixed in 2 or the weeks instead of now. Keep up the beta testing.

What kind of “bus” are we talking about? School bus?

I’m not sure how you typo “bugs” as “bus” 3 times in a post, but Striinger managed. 😉

Zone is trivialized now, too bad a few whiners got decent content nerfed. Yeah, veins needed to be fixed, but now mobs don’t aggro unless you basically walk on them?? That’s just lazy.
