Starting Thursday, January 23, 2014 EverQuest II players can experience the Kingdom of Sky zone, Sanctum of the Scaleborn, as a Fabled dungeon. This means that this contested dungeon will return as a place where the highest level players can explore and defeat the challenges for level appropriate loot. Are you prepared to do battle with the fanatical Awakened (again)?

The Sanctum of the Scaleborn is an elaborate underground palace. Located on one of the jungle covered islands of the Tenebrous Tangle, the denizens of the Sanctum of the Scaleborn support the Temple of Scales’ mission to return their most-revered master to power.

The Awakened of this dungeon are led by the young but wise blue dragon, Cyenadros, Lord of the Sanctum. Under Cyenadros’ command, the powerful arcane dragon bred creations known as the Droag perform the darkest of ceremonies in order to increase their power.

Sanctum of the Scaleborn contains more than just loot and nostalgia for players returning to this dungeon, originally released in the Kingdom of Sky expansion. This zone is packed with lore about the various dragons of Norrath. Whether you’re a player that started after Kingdom of Sky launched or a veteran that’s seen it many times, venture into Sanctum of the Scaleborn and see if you’re up to the challenge!

Hmm should be interesting and as for open world pvp potential should be like putting a lit match to gasoline….glorious.

SS is also the place where you need to do the quest line (A Mark of Awakening) so you can pick up the 4 quests from Solidda in Vesspyr.

At l95 my toons just walked thru the grey zone, but if the zone is at my level, I would recommend the normal levelling down a bit, enter the zone, then unmentor and get the quest updated.

I ran that quest just so I could read the lore and finish the VI quests. I chrono’d to 70 on my paladin and solo’d all of the quests, including the x4 raids.

The one thing I hope to see from this is something on the broker BESIDES Belts and Cloaks! Be nice to see some new ToV appropriate Legendary and Fabled gear.

I loved SoS back in the day, I just hope Fabled SoS doesn’t get hit too hard with the HP inflation stick, a hard balance to find with the gap between casual and hardcore players I guess.

      I hope so!
A Deathtoll revamp would be great!
Although that would probably be asking too much since it’s a large zone.

The DoF update had 2 small zones.

        I understand…
If you are under a NDA then you cannot confirm or deny… So there will be no yes or no. only vagueness
If there is no NDA then you can be precise: Yes or No are possible

Looks like they are making several KOS zones fabled 95, this was my personal favorite expac out of all of them I would have not one gripe if they want to just make this entire expac again and make everything level 95  I could only wish.

Can’t wait for the incredibly bad itemization placed for the fabled pieces. I also bet you’ll be able to solo them just like you could with Clefts.
