Can’t wait for this to start. I’m very excited to see what’s planned for EQ2 in the coming year.

I am anxious as hell to see what is in store for eq2, as well as eqnext. If they do good with expack I may resubmit again!

Dethdlr, while you are there could you please find out if they ever plan on releasing EQ1 data in their public data feeds? Thanks!

Have to get Feldon to take care of that. I couldn’t make it this year so I’m minding the store instead.

    (Hi, Fair… heh)

I’m claiming sheer curiosity about all this rather than hype. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

Heroic Characters? Are you kidding me? The crowd was totally silent. Holly had to beg for them to clap. This has the potential to be the worst idea in eq2’s history.

I’ve been playing EQ2 since launch (and EQ since ’99 before that) and I don’t think I’ve EVER seen such a lack of enthusiasm about an announcement. The majority of that presentation went over like a lead balloon.

I had just gotten started on my new necro when Holly announced heroic characters; she put a quick stop to that. I am looking forward to learning more about the 26th class coming to EQ2 though. 😯

Can anyone give me a summary of info from this keynote?

Not sure why people care about heroic characters. Made a new character on Nagafen and made it to 80 in one afternoon with no high level assistance. The game is old, why expose new players to the levelling wasteland? Old players can power level in next to no time. If they want to see old content… Chronomentor or play normally.

Well, as someone with over 100 alts, I feel that the game is over at about 85 and its time for a new alt 🙂 I have no problem with those that chose the premade route and can see it would be quite handy for some:)

I’m still looking for a way to change classes on my poor crafters that didnt chose well in the beginning hehe
