Isn’t this kind of thing what FORUMS are for?

So I gotta create a shitty Facebook account or Twitter account to participate in this?
Thanks a lot, but no thanks

It’s just a further indictment of the creaking, decaying forum infrastructure at SOE that you have to rely on third party services to handle something like this.

I have given up on things like this. Especially since they will only pick those items with easy answers. 🙁

    kind of question :
    – Dungeon finder make it usefull : Change the useless reward 25% xp to something that people want : dailty raid token for buy adornment. Since everyone have access to RED slot gear with access quest… And if it’s not enough for interest people make group interserver like BG. And dont tell people what is the zone befor it’s too late, so many people leave when they see the name of the zone in the accept or decline What the point of do Random if you know the result ?.

    – PSS1 do SOE have a solution for people who no want deal with them and stay in SOE boat ?

    – BG token Heirloom

    – New teir of adornment 90-99

    – Possibility to craft some yellow/red adornment so no more excuse for blank slot. At last SF one.

    – Dungeon Maker change the AE restriction to at last 8 mobs, or remove it… Best way to limit the AE kind is use colision check when people place thing, so no more stockpiling.

    – NPC who sell basic arrow and such for Guild hall, mentor, reforge

    – Veteran reward : Summon Banker/Vendor anywhere. (House/dungeon)

i think this list have no end.

Give the Creature Conjuror options to summon Epicx4’s.

Give us a Druid bush portal to reduce lag instead of needing a human being animated and summoning particle effects.

Change DM spawners to show in their description that you have already consumed it to put in your toolbox.

Give guilds a special “guild broker” that only guild members can use, to promote progress within. Guild banks are nearly useless and can lead to potential looting problems.

Create a special “crafter broker” where someone can submit their request to have something crafted, upload their payment, and someone can craft it for them later that day or week. They would log in and find it in their mail, or on this special “crafter broker”.

Make T3 guild halls in EVERY city fashioned after their architecture! We want more variety in our art styles.

Remake all instances to have lv90+ versions, including raids. Allow us also to complete old content quests in these zones so that we don’t miss out on gray Lore that would otherwise be forgotten in some corner of EQ2.

Have a contest for players to create a new zone/raid concept (design document) that people can vote on, and that developers could create and include in their next expansion … I’m not talking DM, but a full featured zone with Lore.

Let people design simple scripts/quests with their player written books, such as: find Soandso in Qeynos, give him a Brellium Ore, and receive either something the player placed in that book or something from a list of common rewards.

    Feldon,

While I wouldn’t say that this is a reaction to the issues the SOE Forums are suffering from (and mind you it seems to be 50-50 at any given point that their forums are responding) – or – whether or not Red Name actually use them. I wouldn’t debate either of those facts which I think we both agree to be true.

I think this another attempt by SOE to garnish “free” followers or Likes through their forced use of social media tools of thier choosing…. so that they can market [not communicate] more through this free advertising vechile

What I think is most bizarre about this one is – WHY – why would you use a communication medium where the tool limits Q’s and A’s to a max length of 140 characters each? Doesn’t that seem a bit silly???

Unless of course – “We’ll look into that…” will be the standard response to every question asked so then character limit is not a problem I guess.

Would love to revisit some old raid/heroic zones with lvl 90+ mobs!

It would be cool if they just did a few every couple of weeks. make em the same but salable to 90+ and drop some updated loot. Doesn’t have to come close to current tier raid loot but would be fun. idk how much other’s would enjoy it tho.

Smokejumper already branded everyone on the Forums as trolls in one statement. In fact, I thought the ingame polls via mailbox was the ‘solution’. I guess that didn’t work eh?

Well nonetheless, I understand that there plenty of unrealistic, irrational, and vocal minority opinions on the forum, but to claim everyone is a ‘troll’ is just a downright insult and completely shows that you’re alienated from the community. There is so many issues with the game that his smug ego can’t seem to take notice of.

Can we expect more bacon in GU65? We have all noticed the severe lack the last few updates, and what little we saw was severely [over/under] done.

Aside from the mechanical and cosmetic issues that linger in-game, I would like to see some process improvement; namely:

-A more open view of the outstanding gamewide issue list. I would like to see some opportunity for the community to drive the priority of those outstanding issues in a more direct and visible fashion.

-The forum system migrated, yet again, to something like slashdot, reddit, or stackexchange where posting and commenting ability is driven largely by peer reputation and community contribution. What we have today is so 1998.

Ever heard of tl;dr? People are lazy these days and if longer then a paragraph.. SOME (not all) people won’t bother reading.

Last GDC, they talked about more showing less talking..

Other MMO’s talk about limiting quest dialogue into 140 characters.
    HERE

Several wordy authors would disagree. Photographers and Movie Makers might agree? Micheal Bay would ignite an explosion-’nuff said. Personally, I think EQ2 could use more explosions… heheeh.

I think the whole facebook thing is another example of the developers trying to manipulate numbers to show the game is more popular than it is in an effort to satisfy thier bean-counting overlords and hopefully keep their jobs.

It depends if any of the dialogue is interesting. Most dialogue in EQ2 is completely dull and uninteresting. Has nothing to do with attention spans.

Hell I recently played Morrowind and Oblivion again. Those games had interesting stories to tell. EQ2 on the otherhand….well most of the stuff feels like what you would find from a cheap novel sold at the grocery store.

Please no. I rather EQ2 have nothing to do with Reddit or Slashdot. I seen enough things completely ruined by Reddit.

I can’t even start a complete thought in 140 characters.

As for forum solutions, it’s simple — vBulletin.

Chat is a Form of direct Communication in my opinion. This answering to pre selected Questions is nothing else than a “Fanboy-Event” to show how “beloved” EQ2 is and that all the critics are nothing more than trolling.
