May 8, 2012 Update Notes

Written by Dethdlr on . Posted in Grouping, Itemization, Raiding

Here are your update notes for 8 May, 2012.  There is a fix for the quest “All You Need is Time” currently on the test server but it hasn’t made it to the live servers yet.  If you are stuck on that quest, Gninja says to /petition it.  He has given customer service steps on how to fix it.

POPULATION / ZONE PROGRESSION

Skyshrine x4 raid zones, challenge mode

  • Belkreiz Blazeclaw will no longer spam messages about reckless adds unless an add actually spawns due to the Time Vortex Curse.
  • Belkreiz Blazeclaw will no longer spawn Ancient Dracurian Seer’s if there are already 3 or more of them present in the zone.

Skyshrine: the Underdepths

  • Sevalor’s Deathless now has a 35 second duration, rather than permanent.

ITEMS

  • “Skyshrine” scout boots focus effect now properly applies to swashbucklers.
  • Restorative Counter II, III, and IV should now trigger heals on the target of the proc instead of the caster.
  • Pantaloons of Runed Silk should now correctly have their set bonus applied to them so they match the rest of the set.

QUESTS

Withered Lands

  • The book “A Romp Through the Withered Lands” should now be available on the Shady Swashbuckler if you have completed the quest “Techgnical Difficulties”.

Would love to see a guide on Permafrost run Techgnical Difficulties again – heard it happened only once on the second or third day into the release and haven’t see it again since.

It was offered by a guide in the combine area a few days ago

I think the reward was great fun, but some guildies didn’t appreciate the assassin 🙁

I have to say, withing a half hour after I petitioned to fix the quest “All You Need is Time” a Customer Service Representative contacted me, pulled me straight to Kerr (where the quest breakdown occurred), the CSR reset Kerr, and the quest was fixed and Kerr started his “event.” So maybe they can’t program these without glitches, but at least they’re fixing one of a long line of bugs . . . only 999,999 to go!

@Kaufman, I’ve seen it two or three times at least, and I’m on Permafrost. Run it on two different toons on different days even. Make sure to keep 1-9 chat open, it will improve your odds. Beyond that it’s timing. (I was going to compare to osmium or colossal reactants, but that might not exactly be the best comparison…)

Thanks for the tips – unfortunately I work corporate hours so unless it is evening or weekends, I am not going to see it. But I do keep channels open and look out for it. Just hope it doesn’t go away any time soon. Thanks.

Most of the time when a Guide (at least on Permafrost) says something in 1-9 they just get a dozen or so reply’s to GTFO of 1-9 with the Roleplay.

Than the people who think the Guides are Devs start to complain about how they should be fixing bugs not doing events.

They could use a bit of PR / awareness of what they do cause a lot of the population has no idea what a Guide is.

Glad to see the webcast planned for this week.

Not in the release notes but still very cool: UD shield drops were fixed. My UD level 90 shield is now a level 92 and the stats were boosted quite a bit:

I wonder if they fixed block chance on priest shields?

I wish they’d get around to fixing the remaining focus problems. On my fury the focuses don’t apply anything like the % increases to e.g. autumn’s kiss that they say they do still.

I work the same hours, @Kaufman. Just a matter of timing…
