Just confirmed: Walmart card grants 4000 sc.
You type the number, and the system let you choose from following:
    “1500 +500bonus +2000bonus SC”
    “Everquest II 30days + 500 sc”
    “Another game 30days +500 sc”
    “Yet another game 30days +500sc”

and after you pick the first one, you get 4000sc

Walmart cards with the +500 are doubling correctly, just redeemed 3 of them, got the 2000 doubled SC. (4000 per card total)

I redeemed a 2k card at about 12:30 via the EQ1 in-game interface and got only 3500 SC.

… and now that I check, it’s been retroactively corrected to 4k without my having done anything. Eggslant.

    D3 toppling EQ2?
Harley, you’re done! Schwinn just released a dream polytitanium dream bike!
McDonald’s going out of business due to new line of Blimpey cold subs.

I could go on, but last I checked D3 is neither persistent not MMO. It’s no different to the impact Skyrim or other exceptional but different game that have come out over the past decade.

WoW was the REAL pain for EQ because it was a better sold apple, not an orange. I’m curious to see the SHORT term impact of both D3 and GW2 though.

I don’t think any games release will have a huge impact on either EQ or EQ2 because as with most MMO’s once they reach a certain age the people playing them are there because they want to be and most if not all the game hopping players left long ago.

Really SoE? Could only do 1 day Double Station Cash? Not a whole weekend? I was gonna buy a Station Cash Card today (Sunday), but looks like I lost out (or more specifically – you did LOL).

Technical, they didn’t loose anything. Only you lost out on a sale. They gain more when you buy outside of the sales. And if you don’t, then you don’t get SC to waste.. /shrug

Dedith: True, but the bottom line is: I didn’t buy any of their staion cash, so yeah, they did lose. But Potatoes, Potaatoes. I certainly don’t buy any SC when there’s not sale, so I keep my money =)

I am the same way I only buy SC during the double cash sales and was somewhat annoyed that this one came and went before anyone really knew about it.

While I am in general supportive of SOE I am constantly amazed at how they manage to screw up the little things in terms of the games management that while not game breaking they are always annoying.
