    Awesome, but I don’t think there are going to be any Frogloks in that queue, we look too handsome already 🙂

    I, personally, can’t fault SOE for this. To me this is a perfect use of station cash. Unless for some reason you choose not to buy the upcoming expansion, we are all getting this stuff for “free”, minus the house I’m sure. If you happen to be one of those got to have it now, throw money out the window type of consumer, than this is perfect for you.
    The sad thing is this comic hits the nail squarely on the head. There are a ton of suckers out there and SOE is going to reel them in left and right. They are even giving us a double cash weekend, right before the vamp announcement, to make the total charge seem like nothing if you add money to your account this weekend.
    I’m betting we will see more of this type of thing in the future. You can have it in the future for “free” but if you want it right now its going to cost you. If you really take a look at it, its a brilliant strategy.

    @ chunkaliscious Well, there’s a catch to the “free” version. If you read the fine print it says “one per account” the news out there from different blog sites is that the free version is 1 …that’s it. So you can make 1 character a vampire. If you want unlimited uses, you would have to buy the $20.00 race pack. Also I don’t believe the free version gets the add ons like hand weapons or the bat form just like the SC one doesn’t.

    I’d like to be wrong, but I don’t think I am.

    And that is only for the velious rewards for subscribing the last 3 months, this won’t be coming with your paid expansion 😉

    @chunk

    Can’t fault?
    If a company does something, it’s their fault…

    If you mean you don’t feel it was a kick to the face to subscribers, I’m sorry, but you are exactly who they want to keep playing.

    People who will pay, and take absolutely anything done to them.

    Being stubborn and not reacting to change that is adverse to your monetary, and mental well being is in no way a good thing.

    This won’t end here, and it will continue to go further.

    You can’t say a race with special skills is fluff anymore.

    You are right it is there fault they are trying to make money. Isnt that what companies strive to do? They are going to make a bit of money off of the sheep who can’t wait till February.

    How is this a kick in the face to subscribers? All subscribers are going to get the race in February or whenever you activate a copy of the Velious expansion. I’m not sure where you got the impression I was going to throw money at the SOE round file.

    Adverse to my mental well being? Are you serious? How in the world could the fact that SOE is selling something to the sheep that I am going to get for free with my expansion activation in February cause me any sort of mental condition?

    By special skills I can only infer you are referencing the blood letter ability? I haven’t seen the description of the ability but in 1-9 chat last night someone who had bought everything said that at level 30 the damage was procing for 50-75 and the heal was something like 30-45. In my mind I would call that fluff.

    @starseeker
    I am more than ok with only being able to have one on my account. I only have one open slot at the moment and have no plans of paying for another slot. I also wont pay for a race change potion to change one of my current characters in to on either.
    I am more miffed that the wolf mount is only 1 per account, which of course means the daughter’s toon automatically gets it.

    Vortexelemental is everywhere. There is NO ESCAPE! MUWHAHAHA

    Seriously folks, we just don’t know if the February Freeblood unlock will mean 1 character per account, or that the account is unlocked to allow as many bloodsuckers as you can stand. 🙂 “Limit 1 per account” is standard marketing boilerplate and unless they’re told not to, include it in every outgoing announcement of any kind of entitlement.

    So have any cool guild names formed yet? I was thinking
    * Bloodsucker Proxy
    * Blood Light
    * Phlebotomy Inc.
