SmokeJumper: Fan Faire Feedback Fixes are coming

Written by Feldon on . Posted in Daybreak Live (SOE Live/Fan Faire), Game Updates & Maintenance

SmokeJumper posted on the EQ2 Forums:

Hey, folks,

Just wanted to let you know that we recorded all the sessions at Fan Faire, transcribed all the questions, and the team leads have spent the last couple of days pouring over the lists and prioritizing them for action.

We’ll be spending several weeks making fixes and changes based on the feedback we got there and then update the game with those fixes in mid-October.

We’ll post the list of what’s changing much closer to when we launch so that we don’t accidentally overcommit, but we think you’ll be pleased with a lot of the fixes.

Thought you’d be interested to know this is happening. More later!

Now watch them get it all wrong and give us something else we didn’t ask for instead of what we did.

So, do the people at Fan Faire have a higher priority than /feedback or people on the forums and their suggestions? Appears to be the case.

Also, I can find nothing wrong with the previous two comments in this thread 🙂

Well there was mainly good feedback there, but it was often mainly bug report style feedback.

The only real changes to gameplay requests I heard was one for mentoring, to make it not a god mode thing, yet it met with boos from some people. Personally I want a non-god mode mentoring feature, its pretty dull right now.

The real problems with the game though were mentioned, but I doubt these will be fixed, itemisation is one, game mechanics is the other.

Murfalad – you can Chrono down below the level of the person you plan on mentoring to self-nerf yourself if you feel you’ll be too powerful. Rather than maul everyone’s else’s gameplay for the few that would want it that way use the tools already available to you…
