Tired of getting a swift kick or a punch in the mouth from the surly and unwelcome Thexian and Dreadnaught goons occupying parts of Freeport?
Did you know…
- Killing Thexian and Dreadnaught “guards” in Freeport does not affect your faction with Freeport?
- If you kill enough Thexians and Dreadnaughts (about 10 of each), they will grow afraid of you and STOP WITH THE BEATINGS ALREADY?
Fun Facts from the EQ2 Forums
Awesome. Will be doing this when I get home. It was soooo annoying.
Very awesome. Kudos to the dev who put that little detail in 🙂
Yea. My qeynos rat has to cut through stonstair to get to a guild hall thats part of her raiding alliance (not one shes part of). It’s in NFPT so as soon as i exit stonstair i have to kill the thexians at the gate because they used to stun me. Now when i walk past them all they do is say “death to the enemies of lucan”. They don’t stun me anymore. However i find it odd how the enemies of lucan themselves are saying “death to the enemies of lucan”. lol

It's almost as if when the devs put those guards there, they copied the old militia guards and only changed their appearance. Left all the dialog intact by mistake lol.
Left all the dialog intact by mistake? Doubtful. Left all the dialog because they didn’t want to spend the resources and time to change and addition which most people will ignore after the first few weeks and, if and when Lucan DOES return, will change back anyway? That seems more likely.
