EQ2 Adds 11th Adornment Slot Color

If you were worried that we would run out of Adornment colors in EQ2, have no fear. In the last few weeks, new items have started dropping with a new adornment slot — Grey. That adds to the existing gaggle of adornment colors White, Red and Yellow (both now obsolete), Blue (PvP), Purple, Cyan, Temporary, Green, and Orange.  That gives us 6 active adornment colors. With the release of Kunark Ascending, a Black adornment slot was found in the game’s icon files, although no items have yet been found with that slot color. With Grey adornments, that potentially puts us at 8 colors going into November.

Good lord…instead of streamlining…they are continuing to pile it on.

They can’t be bothered to fix the stat bloat, so they just avoid it by creating another adornment colour.

It is literally like doubling down on a stupid policy/philosophy.

God help new players, which the game badly needs.

Sigh, what fun we have. They really are not learning from the past.

Folks who learn from the past get cut during the next round of layoffs.

I swear, that’s how they decide who to cut…

Even though ‘grey’ means ‘useless’ every where else in game. /smh

Why does grey mean useless? It’s just a colour. Not sure we even had a single grey itemin the game before.

Grey is used throughout EQ2 to indicate an outleveled item, spell, etc.

It’s not only too much for new players. Even returning has become basically impossible now.
I’ve only been out for like a year or so (stopped shortly before Kunark Ascending), did kinda hardcore raiding before and yet, it’s already too much with this ascension classes stuff and new stats all over the place.

Missed only one expansion and it already feels like learning a completely new game.
But hey, keep them stats and slots and classes coming… Yay ,)

i don’t see why they couldn’t reuse the old red, yellow or blue slots i mean the older adorns of those colors wouldn’t be worth putting on anyway for level 100+.

I miss playing my alts! This XPAC has forced me to play my raid main pretty much exclusively for these reasons and similiar. I have a Conjy, Necro, Swashy, Ranger, SK, and Pally I like to play. They’re all pretty much unplayable now, except to grind PG solo weeklies with, but who wants to do that BS?! LOL They have to know by know how much the player base hates the whole PG grind thing, but yet they keep adding more and more items that we have to slave away grinding in boring ass PG’s to get, or we will get left behind! So very frustrating! I wish a new game would come out that I like to save me from what this game has become……a second job……….so sad!

How about next expansion we add six new adornment slots, and a few dozen extra blue stats? Hell let’s add an extra green stat too, why not.
