    Whenever something like this happens on a Monday early with no announcement I worry that they’re closing the whole company down.

    I guess they scheduled it and didn’t bother to tell…I dunno, their customers? Seems to be a total surprise on every game forum I went to.

    It has been at least 3 hours since I got the login errors and maintenance info when I tried to log in to report on support channel. I understand some people were able to play like they usually can when doing background maintenance but huge surprise to the rest of us so there was no chance to plan ahead. Don’t know who is in charge of customer service happiness but there seems a severe lack of attention to that.

    I guess if we choose to continue sailing on the Titanic, we can’t be surprised that we may encounter rough seas, icebergs, and eventually sink.

      To be fair, no one did claim that we were on an unsinkable ship…so… maybe? =)

    I can’t imagine why they wouldn’t put up something about it. It shouldn’t take that long for a Dev to go up on the forums and atleast post there that there is a maintenance, even if there will be no details given. And on that note, I do also wonder what they are “maintaining” exactly. I try not to doubt DBG too much since they fixed the memory leak in addition to a few other major bugs the instant they switched over from SOE.

    Thank you Feldon, this is why I have EQ2Wire bookmarked!

      Ditto! Feldon does a great job of keeping us informed. I don’t want to imagine what it would be like without him.

    Guess this is an emergency fix** (:P) for DBG’s “carpetbombing”* issue.

    * Phrase via Feldon.

    With those five day suspensions ending Tuesday, it’s a case of good timing??

    BTW good job Feldon, on documenting these stealth fixes.

    The scariest part to me is how they pretend nothing even happened. Wish I could have done that as a loan officer back in the day.
