US Servers: 7:00~8:00am PDT | 10:00~11:00am EDT | 15:00~16:00 BST | 16:00~17:00 CET
EU Servers: 9:00~10:00pm PDT | 12:00~1:00am EDT | 05:00~06:00 BST | 06:00~07:00 CET

From the EQ2 Forums:

GENERAL

  • Addressed an issue causing some client performance issues. [as discussed here]
  • Fixed an issue where consumables could give incorrect bonuses after zoning.

CENSUS API

  • Added total kills and KvD to census data for characters. [additional PvP Leaderboards]

POPULATION / ZONE PROGRESSION
PvP General

  • The payments made by the exiles to buy off non-city guards have expired. Non-city guards will no longer assist exiles in PvP combat.
  • Ravens’ Roost has hired a few high level guards.

Ssrez’Ras: Chamber of Stasis [Heroic]

  • Deviator Yothsra can once again be slain.

ABILITIES / ALTERNATE ADVANCEMENT
PvP

  • Summoner pets will no longer apply state effects in PvP combat.

ITEMS

  • Woven Rawhide armor has had its tint corrected.

Also…

Winds of Obol adornments have been rewritten to grant a flat 25% Potency for each group member who has one adorned. They can be used alongside Truespirit’s Legacy. This replaces the old buff which granted +25% potency but only to offensive spells and combat arts. The old effect frequently dropped on zoning and was the subject of numerous bug reports.

When you live in Europe you usually don’t really know what PDT, EDT, BST, CET means. But I like the new Shortcodes display.

I would prefer to have 3 flags (UK, FR, DE) followed by it’s local time (like in the text), rather than a single line with the European flag with 4 hours and letters that does not means anything for us.

You should also take into account in you Shortcode that we usually gets the updates in Europe a day after the US.

Thanks for the response. PDT and EDT are Pacific US Daylight Time and Eastern US Daylight Time. BST is British Summer Time and CET is Central Europe Time. I didn’t know they weren’t widely used. Does everyone in Europe use GMT and GMT+1?

The reason why I provide all 4 times for both US and EU servers is that some US customers play on EU servers and vice versa (especially after the ProSieben deal). US servers being down can affect EU customers. And I understand the concern about the dates. I’ll keep working to come up with something logical that works for everyone.

Well I’d recommend to not use GMT, BST or CET time for Europe servers. I’d use London time, Paris time, Berlin time like in the text version, that way we will immedially know when the maintenance will happen on our local time.

The text version is long but at least it gave us all the information we need (local date and time and duration), and we do not have to use a time converter or try to remember if we are GMT+1 or +2 due to daylight saving times.

Indeed, much easier to see a country name. Though these days I am able to use Google to search for “07:00 PDT in UK time” or “08:00 CEST in UK time” and it will tell me what the time will be in the country I am playing in without fussing over telling me which time zone that is and for me to do another conversion.

I am a US citizen living in Germany, CET is widely used by the community I deal with daily.
