Hey all,

The following instances from Echoes of Faydwer (expansion 3) are now available on Test and Beta servers as Fabled level 100 versions:

  • The Fabled Acadechism [Advanced Solo & Heroic]
  • The Fabled Court of Innovation [Advanced Solo & Heroic]
  • The Fabled Crypt of Valdoon [Advanced Solo & Heroic]
  • The Fabled Freethinker Hideout [Raid & Challenge Raid]

You’ll find the entrance to these dungeons (a door!) just off the dock in Butcherblock Mountains at approximately 724, 24, 581. They can also be accessed individually through their original entrance locations within Greater Faydark, Klak’Anon, and Loping Plains.

There are a ton of new items, collections, missions and challenges so give them a whirl and please reply here with any and all feedback and bugs.

Thanks!

I vaguely remember having to evac in the Acadechism when D’Vinn first became active. Which is fine, in a group, where you have a chance to have someone who has evac, or FD/group FD. Is that the old strat? Because he kills me unless I evac, then I can go back and win, easily.

Solo, a lot of people are going to die because they don’t have one of these abilities. It doesn’t seem right, solo . . .

The mechanics of Solo/Adv. Solo fights usually differ from the originals for this reason. Unless someone on test sees something to the contrary I wouldn’t be worried about it.

I have done Acadechism solo twice, I died both time as soon as the script became active. From what I’ve seen so far the script are not balanced, either they are too easy or hitting to hard (with a raid geared toon). Next step is to test them with an instance geared toon.

Exactly. I’ve got a raid equipped toon and he dies when the script becomes active. If I FD or evac, I live and go back and can kill them. (Which is kinda how I remember it back in the day).

I haven’t tried yet with a toon with stoneskins or death saves yet, but the assassin just evacs then runs back. Having to FD or Evac doesn’t seem fair in a solo when there are classes that can’t (but hey! Buy an evac in the Daybreak Store for only 450 DBC (or 900 or 10 whatever it costs)). Call me cynical but . . .

Maybe that is part of the TLE. you get to experience all of the old bugs and be subject to the fix times that originally happened. 😉
