Remembering Christopher Lee, Voice of Lucan D’Lere
Legendary actor Sir Christopher Lee passed just over one week ago. To recognize his contributions to EverQuest II, specifically his voicing of Lucan D’Lere, Overlord of Freeport, Daybreak Games shared a brief interview clip recorded in 2004.

Whenever I go into Freeport and hear Lucan D’Lere speaking, knowing that it is the voice of Saruman, Count Dooku, Dracula, Frankenstein’s Monster, The Mummy, Scaramanga (The Man with the Golden Gun), and so many other icon roles, it would always send shivers down my spine.

He will be greatly missed.
The voice talent in EQ2 really sets the game apart from so many others.
I try to play others games and it just seems like dead silence and a wall of text. With out the voice over personalities both known and unknown, recognizable or not the characters just seem to have less.. character.
Christopher Lee was the perfect Lucan D’Lere.

In my house vault. I still click on it once in a while to hear him speak. And, as beautiful as I think she is, I thought it an . . . interesting choice to cast Heather Graham as Queen Antonia Bayle. Christopher Lee was perfectly cast in that role. He will be missed.
