Maybe so people wouldn’t leave it on if they actually got it and look like an idiot.

There is no other adorn that I can think of that could possibly be more worthless to the one wearing it and whatever group is unlucky enough to have that person join them. It is NEVER the best choice, it is never the second best, third best it really shouldn’t even be an option.

Yes even before the Ammo Cumsumption changes that came with CoE, That adorn was completly worthless.

The change to ammo useage is the cause of that update, you only ever use one arrow per round of autoattacks now so having a X% chance to save one arrow is close to useless.

Either one of these would have completely solved the ranger ammo problem:

    • Mass Production
    • Reduction of Ammo usage to 1 per attack

    Together, it’s complete overkill.

i also dont understand why ammos conservation.
It’s the best (must have) adornment for ranger and almost useless for everyone else. So why remove this one from table ? i dont get it.

Just set Ammos conservation to Ranger only and problem solved.

Even some bard could want it… (i disagree on that)

I saw lot of ranger melee and dirge range. Something go wrong and remove this adornment is in line with this wrong things.

Or give endless quiver to ranger (the AA from EQ1 ;))

I disagree than some class are too much dependent from craft, … ranger is the only one. Even assassin can kill without poison, but a ranger without arrow, it’s just a very very bad assassin 😉

    ENDLESS QUIVER !

I agree with Madcat… As a ranger using Dragon Bone Arrows the maligonian horns them self cost over 45pp so having X% ammo conservation for a ranger is OK.. but yeah other classes surely don’t really need it as much.. Endless Quiver would have fixed the issue.. Ranger is the only class that it costs money to kill a mob.. Sure they can melee but the true power is ranged.. And now that maligonian horns don’t drop in the new CoE zones its even worse.. so yeah Rangers could use rhenium arrows but isn’t +532 slashing +5 meters +10% Hit better than +177 crushing +5 meters +10% Hit?

If you were a ranger using ammo conservation after CoE, you were a ranger that wasn’t really paying attention to how to DPS.

With no conservation, I was only using 2-3 stacks of dragon bones / raid.

However, if you used regular arrows and put CB adorns where you had conservation, you’d do more damage than using DB arrows with ammo conservation.

I burn so few arrows now I don’t mind paying the ridicules prices people charge for horns. As a ranger before CoE I would almost go through an entire quiver of arrows if not more in one raid night. Now, I don’t think I’ve restocked since CoE has released. So that is probably why they are removing them.

As a Ranger main, after the update to conservation and crafting that lowered both price and use, when I first saw the ammo conservation adorns I was thinking, “Really?”
I was a person who constantly disliked how much it cost me to raid and play with arrow costs, but instead of fixing it moderately they WAY overdid it. So much so I actually thought it was bugged to be even slower then the mechanics called for. Not that I am complaining about that.
To actually use an ammo consumption instead of CB or haste seems like a waste even if I am using dragon bone on my raids.
To me I thought the fix itself was so overdone they might as well have made ammo free.

Hubby used 110 arrows in the last raid night or so and is running on the same quiver as when CoE launched (now half full) instead of dropping a quiver per night. This adorn is pointless nowadays.

Ya what a waste of an adornment slot, better of running with empty slots so you just look cheep instead of ignorant.

I am using so little ammo on my Ranger despite AE Auto, Flurry, and MA, I think I have restocked arrows only once since Chains of Eternity. Contrast this to before the expansion where I had to refill my quiver (I think it’s 24 slots) once a week.

It didn’t say they were removed from existing items, only that they were removed from the loot tables. This means new items cannot get these adornments.

I bet momo is still selling the lesser version of these runes too. Maybe with some luck, all these newer adornments will be available for sale some time soon.

That would be nice, as the current whack-a-mole system of getting them, while an interesting method taken solely on its own merits, as the sole method of acquiring the new adorns is pretty bad. Paired with another more straightforward (if more expensive somehow) system it would be quite good though.
