7-Eleven Double Station Cash Weekend Nov 16-18

Written by Feldon on . Posted in Daybreak Cash

From EverQuest2.com:

Now is a great time to stock up on SOE Game Cards from your local 7-Eleven retailer. Between 11/16/12 and 11/18/12*, get Double Station Cash when you redeem an SOE Game Card for Station Cash. This promotion is exclusive to cards purchased at 7-Eleven stores in the US.

Game Card must be purchased at a 7-Eleven store in the United States and redeemed for Station Cash (not membership time) during the promotional period to qualify. Offer valid only for qualifying Game Cards that are redeemed for Station Cash between 12:01 AM PST 11/16/12 and 11:59 PM PST 11/18/12.

The irony that 7-Eleven is much larger in Europe and Asia than in the USA, yet only StationCash cards sold domestically are applicable for this deal has not been lost on us.

Wait? 7-11 is larger in Europe and Asia than in the US? I pass, literally, 6 of them on the way to work . . . and I live 10 miles from work.

There’s got to be one on every corner in Europe and Asia then, if it’s bigger than the US . . . but I live in NY (Long Island, specifically), there’s jillions of them here. Maybe not so much in different parts of the US?

all of the 7-11’s where I live were bought out 20 or so years ago by Sugar Creek, and then long since bought out again by Wilson Farms.

Heck I didn’t even know they still existed

It is an up north kind of thing. Down here im Alabama (Cottondale,al for me), Georgia, Tennessee,Kentucky, Mississippi and parts of louisiana I know for a fact we don’t have one. The closest one for me would have been 398 miles away in North Carolina, or 422 miles away near I95 in Florida.

You are not going to find a 7-11 anywhere close to where I live. The one we did have was bought out by circle-k foods, those were latter sold to Kangaroo who is part of the Marathon gas folks.

Oh well not driving that far to get one.

Oh Dark a 7-11 is essentialy a gas station/snack food store. Used to be a place you could go fill up your truck, get some coffie a dougnut, and in some of their store you could get hotdogs, pizza and other cooded items. I used to love getting their slurpies, when I lived in Platsburgh NY. I really don’t know how they got their name as they are usually open 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

The last one in our town disappeared a few years ago. However, even the WalMart promotions don’t help me, because our Walmarts here in my area don’t sell StationCash cards. I can only get them at CVS as Freerealms cards. I called Walmart last time, because online it said they should be in stock, and the manager told me that product (SOE SC cards) had been “discontinued” at their stores.

SOE tends to be a legend in their own mind sometimes, I think!

Glad CVS has them though, and I hope they continue to carry them.

I too used to go in the 7-11 for slurpees and big cokes. It was a pretty good convenience store.

Oh hey I actually paid attention for once and realized there’s one right beside walmart, how about that. I’d rather wait for a double when I can redeem walmart cards though, so meh.

I think the ones here have been gone since before EQ2 came out. In related news not all of Florida has them.

Badcat – for an up north kind of thing they sure are based in Dallas pretty well.

Google is a nice tool…some people need to start using it more.

Asia? Perhaps. But Europe? From the magical Wikipedia:

7-Eleven branded stores, under parent company Seven & I Holdings Co., are located in 16 countries, with its largest markets being Japan, the United States, Canada, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, and Thailand.

    And:

7-Eleven currently has more than 8,200 owned, operated and franchised stores in the United States.

By comparison, there are 8,500 Walmart stores worldwide. Obviously, Walmart stores are WAY bigger, but if all we’re talking about is station cash cards, it doesn’t really matter huge each individual store is.
