Chains of Eternity Crafting Guide @ EQ2Traders

Written by Feldon on . Posted in Expansion News, Tradeskill

Like clockwork, Niami Denmother of EQ2Traders has turned out a fantastic guide to crafting in the Chains of Eternity expansion.

In this guide, she updates us on Handcrafted and Mastercrafted armor, jewelry, weapons, and so forth which have received a complete set of items (rather than being dragging out until level 100). She also delves into the new set of white Adornments, a new type of green Adornment called Spirit Stones, dramatic improvements to Tinkering, the powerful new Tradeskill Prestige abilities, and an update on the Tradeskill AAs tab which now has its own 40 points to spend. While there are no Tradeskill quests in the expansion, the number of new concepts being added to Tradeskills shows that the EQ2 team want crafting to remain relevant for the foreseeable future. Niami’s guide is broken out into 2 additional sections as shown:

  • Tradeskill AAs & Tradeskill Prestige
    • Mass Production — producing up to 100 items at once
    • Experimentation — increasing the power/stats of an item, each time at greater risk to the item!
    • Refining — Producing highly refined (and thus more powerful) items by first refining tradeskill rares into pure rares.

That is some amazing changes to crafting.

These prestige abilities are hopefully going to make crafted items something that people want. Imagine Crafters and crafted goods being in demand again – Shock Horror :). So far it is looking good.

Fabled was not supposed to give more mana ? just muted 12 fabled for one single mana its few, very few.

Never heard of a change on transmuting rates (not that we heard a lot anyway).

My reading of the refining skill of a rare is a 50/50 of getting a refined / pure rare, or vendor trash. Would that be right ?

A 50% chance of losing a rare would make me think twice before I do it.

I salvaged a 90 fabled cloak and got Reptile Hide, Did a legendary belt level 91 and got 2 Banyan roots. I did a level 87 legendary from GD and I got 2 Rhenium ore. I think it is still breaking everything into t10 stuff
