Banditman,

He specifically said that in the process of evaluating AoE immunity for Beastlords, he'd also have that discussion about Summoner pets.

"Q: Will Warders be AoE immune?
A: AoE immunity is something I’d like to see, but we have to see how the balance goes."

What the hell? Summoners have been asking, begging, pleading for pet AE Immunity forEVER and now the new class may wind up with it?

Well, did they at all talk about what to do to bring back players, except Mercenaries (needed as they are obviously not going to do content for small group) all I see is the 2 new dynamic dungeons. Is it so impossible to create (or redesign) content so you can log in play 2 hours and face interesting and challenging content and get an occasional piece of loot that is an upgrade for you?

I see nothing about how to make it easier for new and returning players to get on par with the majority of the playerbase at 90.

Am I the only one who has a problem with the inclusion of beastlords? As I understand it they were terribly overpowered in EQ1, and from the looks of things will be in EQ2 as well. Not to mention it will throw off the symmetry of the existing class system and its (theoretical) balance.

"Melee DPS class, on par with other top-tier DPS"
A hybrid class should not be top-tier anything, ever. It's going to step on the toes of the established classes.

"Pet class on Steroids" Summoner pets are already amazingly strong with their 1-click easy button DPS (enchanter pets are so lame that I don't even consider enchanter to be a pet class). I shudder to think what these new guys will be able to do while AFK.

It looks to me that the devs are putting tremendous amounts of effort that they should be using to improve existing classes into creating a new one that most people didn't even want. I expect the majority of dev time to be spent on beastlords for the first few months after their release, as they try to convince people that this little pet project was a good idea. Good luck getting your original class's problems addressed!

Personally I would like to see a return of simpler times with gear.

Treasured = Solo content
Legendary = Group content, dungeons only.
Fabled = Raid Only. Exception for things like the Fabled Epic quests. COuld also make HQ Fabled. The message being, special, and it took me a lot to get it.
Mythical = Very special items. Things crafted from raid drops that are not easy to get. Perhaps even go as far as HM top end only. The pinnacle of items you will not see often. Things talked about. Things almost of myth.

@Sole I guess that the raid dropped components will only be for the raid gear equivalent items, if you're not raiding then it is only fair that you do not have easy access to such things. You'll still be able to craft the items for other people via commission, in the same way as shard armour works.

Yeah @Karl I'm confused about the GU61 note of BYOD, I just watched the vid of the community address and it was listed as an expansion feature. I can't find any uploads for yesterdays panels on Youtube yet to have a look myself, so when you're up and hangover free let us know Feldon. As always awesome job with the live updates :)
