Pegasus Flying Mounts Come to StationCash Marketplace for 1,950SC

Written by Feldon on . Posted in Daybreak Cash

Appearing today on the StationCash Marketplace, we now have our first Premium Flying Mount. It is a Pegasus with choice of light coloration with priest/mage stats, and dark coloration with fighter/scout stats. UPDATE: Both mounts have a +5 increase to skill stats used by priests, mages, fighters, and scouts. The price is 1950SC, which is $19.50 at normal SC rate or $6.50 if you got in on the recent Triple StationCash offer.

The mounts require level 85 either tradeskill or adventure, but do not hinge upon completion of the 5-day flying mount questline.

We expect more flying mounts in the future, although Dave “SmokeJumper” Georgeson has insisted that, at least for the time being, flying mounts will remain a high-level perk.

Takebacks?

Some players wonder if we will see a wave of post-sale changes to the Pegasus as we saw with the Velium-Saddled Warhog which via 2 updates lost both Featherfall and a unique trait popular with some players of NOT pitching forward and back to match the terrain which was added to all other mounts with Game Update 59/Destiny of Velious.

UPDATE: Some players have allegedly been able to receive refunds for the purchased Warhog mounts since they have undergone changes since they were purchased.

If it was a Pink Pegasus that shot rainbows out of its ass, I’d be all for it.

They are desparate. And I no longer care, they have dropped the ball too far.

I like the priest one having purchased it for my fury. However, the graphics are a bit funky, she appears to be sitting inside the saddle. Need to work on that.

So. While I’m happy there are pegasi, I pay $20 US for not having to do the lengthy quest chain, and getting stats and a model?

    They never learn…

“and a unique trait popular with some players of NOT pitching forward and back to match the terrain” – Why on Earth would anyone want their mount to run completely straight, regardless of the terrain? Mounts look and feel so much better now that they actually run on the terrain instead of on an invisible plain. I guess people will complain about anything.

Well, OK. I’d pay for a scintillating flying manta ray or a nyan-cat. But this…?

    I am outraged!!!!

    This is a blasphemy!!!

Wait…its an item to buy in a game that basically people spend hours to make their animated dolls look all fancified.

\Waiting for the typical “cash cow” comments from people who apparently never took a marketing class.

Loads of people requested this after the Portals to the Past event, so fair play. I bought a bunch of SC during the x3 promo so I’ll be grabbing one for $6 😀

Same here on the pitching, it was always an eye sore when the mount used to clip at 45 degrees through a steep incline, especially in places such as RoK. Still, no matter what the change is some people will not like it…

As for the mounts, they look good, I would though have prefered that they left them as appearance mounts only, so people still had to earn them in game… still not a big deal.

When I look at the 2 diff Pegassus at the Station Cash site, I don’t see any difference in the stats other than the way the benefits are listed. Exactly the same, so white/dark can be for either Mage or Fighter types.
