April 28, 2011 Update — 3 Hours Downtime
From the EQ2 Forums:
All U.S. servers will come down for a hotfix at 7am PDT [15:00~18:00 GMT] on Thursday, April 28, 2011. The Splitpaw server will have its also have its hotfix the same day at 3pm London Time. The expected downtime for all affected servers is three hours.

Seem not only Splitpaw is affected from the Uk Server down as stated.

I have to say that soe, as the dumbest timing for updates! why cant they do this at 3-4am PST? when people are sleeping… so stupid

this will be my last xpac then i will be going to Guild Wars 2…buy the game and there will be no monthly sub…soe gets rich off our monthly sub and they always think of themselves before the customer (so sick of this). With updates that they do in the middle of the day on US servers… to the horrible lag that the game has always had do to soe no wanting to use a (real) game engine! or i should say one that works awesome with no lag, and now they are just now upgrading the servers? after almost 7 years… really? like you couldnt afford it the 3rd year when population was at an all time high? they are just greedy bastards if you ask me and i’m not willing to pay monthly for a game anymore after almost 7years for a company that cant even keep our accounts safe! thats right… soe has been hacked! To be honest i think they were the drop outs of code school LMFAO

Why would they NOT do it during the day? The time when people are at work?
Lag has nothing to do with the game, but your computer.
You sound like a 14yo kid that is sitting at home “ill” trying to play EQ2.

well tbh I dont mind long down times for things to do after, like new zones, or a new area to explore but this takes the cake 🙁 to get an update that takes 8 to 10 hours for a crappy houses, we already have houses… they arent gonna give me hours of things to do after. Kinda like that 7 year vet reward, a HOUSE YAY~ bah!
