With 6 and 7 room houses now outstripping the storage capacity of even medium-sized Guild Halls, some players figured out that the StationCash Marketplace Item Expanders could be placed in guild halls.

Today’s hotfix changes that:

  • Fixed a bug where players could use marketplace item expanders on guild halls.
  • Players who have done that will have the item expander applied to their personal house when they next zone into their personal house and the item expander will be removed from the guild hall.
  • If this puts a guild hall over its item limit it will still have the items but you will not be able to add more items until the item count is reduced.
  • The character house item bonus from the marketplace expander now properly applies to your home and shows in the total number of bonus items in the UI.

Anyone smell a grab for more money coming? For only 50 SC you to can increase your guild hall item limit.

@Kruzzen Yeah I know. When I was reading this I was thinking “This is a bug?”

The problem was that if a player then used that same character to buy another expander to use in the same character’s personal housing, the expander would bug out, disappear, and no item limit increase would be applied.

Since they’ve been reluctant to allow SC house items in general in guild halls (there are a few exceptions), I’m guessing a SC expander probably isn’t the way they’ll go for guild halls, and it’ll probably be a guild hall amenity or crafted.

    Ah, that makes sense.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it turns into a different item that can be bought for SC honestly.

I would have liked to have seen them fix the “bug” that prevented it from being used in the player’s house rather then remove it from the guildhall. Or just warn us that you can only use one per person regardless of where you put it.

I have lots of characters I will never care if they can use one and a guild hall that could use more room.
